Forthcoming…

Posted in From Al & Libbie at 4:29 pm by Libbie

Hey, I’m sorry it’s been forever since I/we wrote anything here. Just wanted to let you know that both Al and I are hoping to post something soon. (Then again, I’ve been meaning to for days and days now and haven’t succeeded. Probably Al will beat me to it…)

Thanks for hanging in there with us!

Libbie

    Hi, Libbie & Al.

I just listened to Diane Langberg’s lectures on “The Work of Grieving”, which I hope you get a chance to hear.

She got me thinking about the nature of death, just by her opening list of the separations (“changes”, “deaths”, “endings”) that increasingly fill our lives as we age. So we progress from toys that break, get lost, or disappear to disrupted relationships, and those we love who die.

As for hanging in there with you–none of us are going anywhere; silence won’t get rid of us! (-:

May the blessings of this Advent fill you all with the grace of anticipating the Lord’s comings.

    Peace in all things.

    Fred

    Love came down at Christmas,
    Love all lovely, love divine.

Our prayers remain constant. Even your silence reminds us to pray, as the Apostle Paul says, “because we have you in our hearts.”

“The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.” Zeph 3:17
Praying grace upon grace for you as you rest in His quiet love.
Much love to you and yours this Christmas, the season that reminds us that “all our hopes and all our fears are met in Christ.”
