The Westminster Hebrew Morphology in the 21st Century

This summer (2015) the Groves Center has begun serious work on extending the Westminster Hebrew Morphology from a flat database with a fixed interpretation as far as lemmas and parsings for words to a richer and more powerful format, that of Extensible Mark-up Language or "XML". XML will allow us to specify alternatives in parsings and lemmas in cases where even the top experts in Biblical Hebrew are divided, and also possible emendations to the Biblical text (with resulting changes to morphological interpretation.)
